POST-ELECTORAL PEACE AND PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE IN NIGERIA

The ABAK Peace Foundation commemorated the 2023 World Peace Day on September 21st, 2023, by hosting a distinguished conference themed "POST-ELECTORAL PEACE AND PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE IN NIGERIA: A PREREQUISITE FOR NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT." Held at the prestigious Murtala Nyako Multipurpose Hall within the State Secretariat Complex in Adamawa State, Nigeria, the event drew notable figures including the esteemed representative of the Executive Governor of Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, alongside a diverse assembly of leaders, stakeholders, and influencers from various sectors across the state.
Rather than opting for traditional methods such as street demonstrations or public rallies, the Foundation strategically chose to facilitate this event through a comprehensive conference format. This decision was predicated on our firm belief in the power of informed dialogue, intellectual exchange, and collaborative engagement as potent catalysts for fostering enduring peace and social cohesion within our society.
